Ford has unveiled a new Mustang Mach-E EV prototype designed for NASCAR racing. This electric crossover features three electric motors and incorporates components from Ford’s current NASCAR Cup Series vehicles, including a fine-tuned suspension, brakes, steering, and wheels. The prototype houses a 78 kWh battery within a carbon fiber tub.

While specific performance details remain undisclosed, similar EV demonstrators from Ford, such as the SuperVan 4.2, deliver around 1,400 horsepower, suggesting the Mach-E prototype may offer comparable power. Ford Performance plans to compete with this electric demonstrator at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb on June 22, 2025, with Romain Dumas as the driver. Dumas previously set a new class record in Ford’s SuperVan in 2023 and holds the fastest time up the hill, achieved in 2018 while driving a Volkswagen ID.R.
