Mitsubishi has expanded its Triton lineup in Australia with the introduction of the GSR and GLX-R variants, aiming to cater to a broader range of customers.

Triton GSR

Positioned as a more rugged and modern option, the Triton GSR features:

  • 18-inch black alloy wheels
  • Black accents on the dynamic shield design, grille, headlamp garnish, skid plate, door mirrors, door handles, and side steps
  • Interior enhancements such as leather-trimmed seats, steering wheel, park brake lever, and shift knob
  • A 360-degree camera with a steering wheel camera switch
  • Power-adjustable driver’s seat and heated front seats

Optional packages for the GSR include a tan orange interior with matching highlights on the leather seats, console box, and knee pads. Additionally, customers can choose from tonneau packs—soft, hard, or roll-top—that add features like a black sports bar, under-rail tub liner, tailgate assist, and floor mats.

Triton GLX-R

Sitting between the GLX+ and GLS trims, the GLX-R offers:

  • 18-inch alloy wheels
  • Large fog lamps
  • Chrome finishes on the door mirrors, front bumper garnish, door handles, and a silver front grille

These additions aim to provide a more sophisticated appearance for ute enthusiasts.

The GLX-R is available for purchase now, while the GSR is expected to arrive in dealerships next month. Pricing for the GSR starts at $51,890 plus on-road costs, and the GLX-R is priced from $41,990.

Mitsubishi’s senior manager of product strategy, Owen Thomson, stated that these new variants ensure the brand offers a Triton model suitable for all customers.
