The Polaris RZR Pro R Factory made a huge statement at the 2025 Dakar Rally, dominating the UTV class with a historic victory. This second-generation RZR Pro R Factory, the very vehicle that helped Brock Heger and Max Eddy Jr. secure an impressive two-hour lead in their class, is now available for purchase—albeit in an extremely limited edition.

Only 30 units of the 2025 RZR Pro R Factory will be made, with future models potentially never seeing the light of day again. Polaris has pushed the boundaries of performance, engineering a machine that takes the foundation of the civilian RZR Pro R and strips it down to pure racing essentials.

While the standard RZR is known for its comfort and advanced features, such as a Rockford Fosgate sound system and Ride Command infotainment, the RZR Pro R Factory discards these luxuries. Instead, it features a race-ready setup designed for professional competition. The interior is stripped of non-essential comforts, showcasing a carbon fiber body and an exposed, functional design.

A standout feature is the MoTeC data storage system, which offers real-time performance metrics and health data, recording everything from lap times to engine performance. This level of telemetry is invaluable for racers, providing second-by-second insights into the vehicle’s status. The DYNAMIX DV race-tuned suspension and the special Baja Mode offer unparalleled confidence, adjusting to rugged terrain for optimal handling.

Power comes from a 2.0-liter Polaris ProStar engine, delivering 225 horsepower, or an optional race-tuned ProStar Fury HO engine that boosts output by an additional 30 horsepower. This power, combined with a lightweight chassis just over 2,000 lbs, creates an exceptional power-to-weight ratio. Equipped with Fox Live Valve X2 shocks, Alcon disk brakes, and BFGoodrich 35-inch KR2 tires on Method 407 bead grip wheels, the RZR Pro R Factory is the perfect blend of power and durability—everything the Polaris Factory Racing team used to clinch victory at Dakar.

Designed for extreme desert heat, this RZR is equipped with dual 500W fans and an additional transmission oil cooler, ensuring the engine and CVT stay cool during long, punishing races. These enhancements are among the key differences between the civilian RZR Pro R and its racing counterpart, despite sharing the same platform.

The RZR Pro R Factory will be meticulously assembled by Scanlon Clarke Industries in Vista, California. With a small team of experts, they handle everything from assembly to post-sale support. These 30 exclusive machines will receive unparalleled care, ensuring that each customer is fully supported on their off-road adventures.

Reid Wilson, President of Polaris Off-Road, emphasized that the RZR Pro R Factory is the pinnacle of off-road innovation, offering racing teams a machine built to win. The overwhelming demand for the vehicle is a testament to its performance pedigree, making it a game-changer in off-road competition.

For those who think the standard RZR Pro R Ultimate is expensive, the RZR Pro R Factory’s price tag of $139,999 is in a league of its own. It’s the Bugatti Tourbillon of the off-road world—a machine that’s not only about performance but about setting a new standard in the sport.
