Joe Rogan transformed his Tesla Model S Plaid by collaborating with Unplugged Performance, resulting in a vehicle that stands apart from its original design. Known for customizing his diverse collection of vehicles, Rogan sought a unique modification for his electric sedan. Unplugged Performance responded by equipping the car with a carbon fiber widebody kit comprising 19 prepreg carbon fiber components.

The enhancements included flared rear wheel arches that expanded the car’s width by 3.1 inches (80 millimeters), carbon fiber fins behind the front wheels, and a prominent carbon diffuser paired with a rear lip spoiler to optimize airflow at high speeds. Rogan personally selected the exposed carbon fiber accents during the build process.

The tuner applied a Pearl White paint with subtle blue undertones and protected it with paint protection film (PPF). The modified Tesla now features forged monoblock wheels measuring 21 x 10 inches at the front and 21 x 11.5 inches at the rear, fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. Upgrades also include forged billet suspension arms.

Inside, Unplugged Performance customized the cabin with white hand-stitched and perforated leather complemented by black Alcantara. They collaborated with von Holzhausen, a company specializing in sustainable materials for the fashion and automotive industries, led by Vicki von Holzhausen, the wife of Tesla’s design chief.

To enhance braking performance, the tuner replaced the factory brakes with carbon ceramic discs. Rogan opted against significantly lowering the vehicle or adding an optional front racing diffuser, considering Austin’s uneven roads and his intention to use the sedan as a daily driver.

The powertrain remains unaltered, retaining its tri-motor setup that delivers 1,020 horsepower and 1,050 pound-feet of torque. This configuration enables the sedan to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in a remarkable 1.99 seconds (with rollout) and achieve a top speed of 200 mph.

While the Tesla Model S Plaid starts at $94,990, the cost of Rogan’s extensive modifications has not been disclosed.
